I got an email from a man who lives off of loop 500 as well. I met with him yesterday and he took me to this dump site. I must say, if I were a police officer I would have never known this place was there. The biggest concern in this area is the trash in the running water polluting the ground water.
I just found out from the EPA lady that there will be citations written to the county for this dump site. If they can pay citations why in the world can they not pay to create a dump cite?
ReplyDeleteI got a call this evening about this creek. Ladies and gentlemen...this flows DIRECTLY into Toledo Bend where we get our drinking water from.....how does this trash taste? No wonder I have an oil film on top of my water when I run it out of the faucet. How can anyone just sit back and think this is ok? Pretty soon we will watch our kids develop cancer or worse if something is not done.
