These are pictures of the trash in the ravine off of CR 3385. This was after someone was kind enough to dump a load of drywall and bathroom junk! I think the problem is that it is easy to dump here and not get caught and people who dump know there are no police around anyway. The rest of the trash is there all the time. This is off of the road. The Sheriff's department and road commissioner have both come to see this. They pass the buck between one another in regard to whose job it is to clean it up. Why can't we get prisoners to clean it up? Newton Johnson says that is too expensive of a program....Travis Rogers says this is not his office's problem.
So sad that our elected officials pass the buck. Maybe they would pay attention if this was on their road. If either of the politicians you site were capable, they would use their position and influence, notwithstanding the fact that it is technically not their office's problem, and help resolve the problem.
ReplyDeleteDear Gradegov.com....I went to your website and I must say I am impressed with the idea of grading elected officials! I wish that I could grade a few local officials on your site. I also agree that even if our officals can't go out and get it cleaned up, they could at the very least find someone who can clean it rather than just saying they can't or it isn't their problem. At the end of the day...it is the problem of every resident in the county.
ReplyDeleteI have had ONE elected offical step up to the plate....Shad Sparks...and he is not even in charge of this part of the county.
Likewise, we are having an amazing amount of trash on both sides of the road. Our road is CR 3173 which is the Truitt Cemetery Road. My farmhand and me cleaned up the road this evening in front of my property.
